The HTS558 Automotive Walnut Sand Carbon Cleaner utilizes high-pressure airflow to propel walnut sand into the engine intake pipe. Inside the enclosed intake pipe, the high-pressure and high-speed sand particles vigorously tumble and collide, effectively dislodging carbon deposits from the intake valve and cylinder wall. Subsequently, the walnut sand and carbon mixture impurities are collected and directed through a specialized connector into the sand storage barrel for recycling. This process ensures that the carbon mixture is efficiently returned to the sand storage barrel for further use.
Walnut powder, also known as walnut sand, is produced by grinding crushed walnut shells into a fine powder after a rigorous selection process. It possesses remarkable anti-pressure and wear-resistant properties.
Walnut sand features a multitude of surface pores that grant it exceptional adsorption capabilities. It is non-toxic and corrosion-resistant, demonstrating resistance to dissolution in acids, alkalis, and water.
As a pure, natural polishing material, walnut sand boasts a hardness level that falls between that of metals and carbon deposits. This unique characteristic allows it to effectively and thoroughly clean the intake pipe and the back side of the intake valve without causing any damage.
STEP1:Open head cover of AUTOOL HTS558 and pour into walnut powder (need 2-4KG ), press dust guard on walnut powder then close cover.
STEP2:Join spary gun muzzle and recycle hose together (there is a hole on recycle hose).
STEP3:Remove intake manifold of engine, plug spary gun into intake, turn crankshaft to close intake valve. Connect air pump((not include)) to HTS558.
STEP4:Connect AC power, start clean. The process should last 1-3minutes(depending on carbon deposition). Normally, walnut powder can be reuse 5-10 times.
Carbon deposit is the black gel caused by the repeated high temperature of the engine running, which is the residual rubber in the fuel injector, the throttle valve, the spark plug, and other components caused by insufficient combustion of the gasoline in the cylinder.
Warm Noted:
The HTS558 fuel system cleaning tool is specifically designed for cleaning the intake pipe and the back side of the intake valve only. If you need to remove carbon deposits from the injector, throttle valve, or cylinder, please consider using the CT400, CT500, or C100. Please note that walnut powder is not included in the package, so you'll need to obtain it from a local market. Additionally, you'll need a high-pressure air pump, which is not included in the package. Any residual walnut powder in the intake pipe will turn to ashes at high temperatures once the engine is started.
Carbon buildup will reduce the air-fuel ratio, decrease engine power output, and lead to higher fuel consumption. These effects can be detrimental to the engine's health. Typically, it is recommended to perform engine carbon cleaning after approximately 2 years of use or when you've driven around 4,000 miles (or 4W kilometers). You can easily spot carbon deposits by removing the throttle.
